Graham qualified from Victoria University of Wellington and RMIT University (Melbourne/Barcelona). He has 28 years’ experience in professional practice and is a registered architect in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He has been the recipient of numerous awards including a Victoria University Master’s Scholarship and a Todd Foundation Scholarship. Graham spent one year on an exchange scholarship at the University of California at Berkeley.

Graham is a director of Graham Ford Architects and author of ‘The Total Environment Masterplan’ which was shortlisted for Business Book of the Year, 2024. Graham teaches part
time at Portsmouth University, is an examiner for the final examination in architecture in the United Kingdom.

Graham has been involved in several projects that have received design awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects including the Roundhouse Theatre in Camden Town (for
John McAslan and Partners) and the Jodrell Laboratory in Kew Gardens (for Wilkinson Eyre Architects). Other significant projects include The Serpentine Boat House in Hyde Park and
the River Club masterplan and development in Kingston.

From 2010 to 2012 Graham worked as a construction advisor to the Olympic Delivery Authority for London 2012. He has specialist knowledge in the design of sports halls, gyms
and sports pavilions and the renovation and adaption of heritage buildings.

Graham acts as a design advisor to commercial, public sector and residential clients helping develop design briefs, assess scenarios and project risks prior to the appointment of the
design team. This role also includes reviewing masterplans, planning submissions and building designs prepared by other architects to assess project delivery risk.
